St. Monica’s Guild was formed by Josephine Stormes in the late 1920’s and is the longest running organization currently in existence at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea. The Guild meets on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, immediately following the 10:30am service. There are no dues; funds to support the Guild’s projects are generated from individual members’ contributions. We have outreach projects within the church, community, and Camp Weed and the Cerveny Conference Center. All are invited; come and share with us in our endeavors, worship, programs, fellowship, and potluck lunch. We welcome you!
St Paul's by the Sea is very fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who each serve approximately 4 Sundays per year at the 10:00am service. There is a book and gift at the welcome station desk to allow newcomers to sign and and enable us to introduce ourselves to them as a loving, welcoming congregation. The person on duty also attends our coffee hour giving newcomers another opportunity to register as a newcomer. Our office administrator follows up on Monday with those people who have registered on Sunday. Welcome Station volunteers are wonderful at helping one another in adjusting schedules - no fuss, no bother, to allow for unforseen events. It is truly a pleasure to work with these volunteers in this ministry. There is also an annual welcome luncheon for newcomers.
Please don't hesitate to call if you are interested in serving in this ministry.
