Christian Formation

Donuts, Discussion and the Divine Word
This laity led Bible Study meets on Wednesday mornings from 9–10:15am, just in time for the 10:30 Eucharist! Join us for spirited discussions of the Bible, theology, community, and fresh donuts! Past studies have included Paul’s letters, and parts of the Old Testament.

Lunch and Learn
This is an informal opportunity to learn about topics of everyday interest. We have presentations and conversations with speakers drawn from within the parish and from the outside, which are designed to enlighten those attending. Representative topics have included: basic functions and features of operating Apple iPhones and iPads, presented by Enith Vardaman; current Security & Cyber  Scams threatening our daily lives, as presented by the Jacksonville FBI office; Planning Your Celebration of Life, as presented by our Rector, Rev. Louanne; Survivor Handbook Planning, by Fleet Landing's Resident Support Coordinator; and The Messiah - Miracle?, by our Director of Music, Lynne Radcliffe; and a visit to the Downtown Abbey Exhibit at the Lightner Museum, St. Augustine, FL. During or after each session, we enjoy a brown bag lunch together. Most of our sessions are held in the Christopher Lobby, 11:30am - 1:00pm on selected Tuesdays, at least once a month, Summer excepted. We welcome topic suggestions for future meaning. Look for meeting announcements in the SPBTS bulletin and email blasts. Please join us! Current L & L Ministry leader - Bob Hall (247-6649)
